A story
Thursday, February 22, 2007

After posting "When you passed away", I remember a story "The Man Who Look For The Lord of Death" from Tenth Standard. Have you heard that story? We had to learn selected myanmar tales during that time we attended standard ten. That text book was consist of fifteen stories. As for me, I 'm interested in all stories. Among them, may I recount you the story, known as "The man who look for the lord of death". The story is like that: there is a man in a village. He 's really deep of poverty. So he wanted to leave from this world. And then he looked for the lord of death". At last he found the lord of death and he told him he wanted to die. The lord of death replied him that he won't be able to die. And continued the lord of death, "you will be a rich man". The lord of death gave him a bow and three arrows for his wish. And told him the date he must die. After using a bow and three arrows, he was a rich man. He lived with various kinds of luxury and servants. He forgot gradually the date he must die. (ahh....I forget how he recognized that date.) After he had realized that date, he prepared for that. He hided at the bottom of the river with various kinds of good foods. When the lord of death looked the died list one day, he found the day poor man must die. Although he tried with all of his might to find him, he didn't until the time is so close to die. While he went to a tree, he laid due to a rope. He pulled the rope and found the man he looked for.

Although we don't want to leave from this world, it 's sure we must pass away one day. Who don't prohibite it?

Money! ! !
Monday, February 19, 2007

"Money! , Money!"

The mouths of every persons abracadabra for money daily.
It's said that for money you can have everything, but you can't. You can buy food, but not delicious; medicine, but not health; knowledge, but not wisdom; glitter, but not beauty; fun, but not enjoy; acquaintance, but not friend; servant, but not faithfulness; leisure, but not peace; you can have the husk of everything for money, but not the kernel.

The Quiet Life.....
Saturday, February 17, 2007

The Quiet Life
happy the man, whose wish and care
a few paternal acres bound,
content to breathe
his native air
in his own ground.

whose herds with milk, whose fields with bread,
whose flocks supply him with attire;
whose trees in summer yield him shade,
in winter fire.

blest who can unconcern'dly find
hours, days, and years, slide soft away
in health of body, peace of mind,
quiet by day.

sound sleep by night; study and ease
together mixt, sweet recreation,
and innocence, which most does please
with meditation.

thus let me live, unseen, unknown;
the unlamented let me die;
steal from the world, and not a stone
tell where i lie.

(From Standard Ten)
(Since we started to attend Primary School, we learned many Myanmar and English poems. Among them this is my favourite one.)

Astrology sees mankind as being not only influenced by hereditary factors and the environment, but also by the state of our solar system at the moment of birth. The planets are regarded as basic life-forces, the tools we live by as well as the basis of our very substance. These planetary forces take on different forms, depending on their zodiacal position and on the way they relate to one another.

Annual Valentine's Day (14/2/2007)
Tuesday, February 13, 2007
May all couples all over the world be happy on annual Valentine's Day!!!!!!!

As for me, I stayed in our apartment.
And I took part in the party of Valentine's Day celebrated by "Service+ Networking Co., Ltd" . I didn't go anywhere today.
But at night I went to the cinema shows
"Panpyoethutoalinkar" acted by Lu Minn,
Nay Toe and Nawarat. It 's not so bad. Have you been watched on that?

Kiss Festival of Pre-Valentine's Day ! ! !
Monday, February 12, 2007

More than 6,000 philippine lovers who participated in "annual kiss festival" kissed their lips each other on Saturday, February 10, 2007 in suburban Pasay City south of Manila. That annual kiss pre-valentine's
day is called lovapalooza in their country.

Would you like to take part in that festival?
OR
Would you want to celebrate like that festival in our country?

But it is not myanmar traditional culture.

The Leisure

Ohh...the life of Yadanabon student! !
It's some images of past tense....
How can I get it again? I'm older and older
from day to day. Does my knowledge progress? Only waste of time and lack
of rice? What should I do through out
my life? What is the way to the successful life? How can I try to get that goal? "Leisure"
The poem I like....

Leisure

    by William Henry Davies

What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or cows.

No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.

No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars like skies at night.

No time to turn at Beauty's glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.

No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.

A poor life this if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

(From tenth standard poem)

The Light
Wednesday, February 7, 2007

The Light
The night has a thousand eyes
And the day but one
Yet the light of the bright world dies
With the dying sun.

The mind has a thousand eyes
And the heart but one
Yet the light of a whole life dies
When love is done.
